Scratch Fest

That's today's official title as I must of spent at least 8 hours in front of my decks today. I was up early to clean out the garage (how fun) and then after a quick bath I got busy. I'm trying to learn boomerangs and the autobahn scratch but not having much luck so far. I also made a couple of beats for a future project..anyways it's 1:03am and I'm tired so I'll leave you with DJ Rafik who is soo nice on the ones and twos... enjoy! :)

Good Weather

Well today I went into Wales with my Dad which was a rare treat. The weather was great the view from the pier was awesome. All in all a top day. Come home and played PS3 and now I'm off to bed but before I go I thought I'd share this delicious little nugget of stupidity. Now I was looking at DJ battles on youtube when I saw Babu's name pop up. I love Babu and figured it was going to be good but alas....no.... it turns out it's a producer battle which to break it down means two pumped up fools playing music at each other often enhanced by some extremely bad dancing. I found the whole thing quite unsettling... see for yourself!

So...

Today was yet another day painting, I'm onto my second piece which once again will be revealed at a later date! Not much to report other than a sore wrist (from painting before the smutty comments start) :D

Bored...

Well today I finished my first piece for exhibition. I stuck to my guns and I'm pleased with the results. I'd show you but that would ruin the surprise now wouldn't it! Here's another sneak peak...

Anyways, I'm tired but not quite ready for bed as it's only 10:11pm. I need to find something to watch although I'm thinking of playing Skate 2 on the PS3 as it's awesome!! In fact yes.... yes I am.. Byeee

Today...

I spent the morning going round vets and pet shops putting up ads for my pet portraits. I then came home, ate and proceeded to paint until now stopping only for my dinner around 7pm. After yet another bad nights sleep from working late I'm now calling it quits at 10:26pm precisely. I've made toast and I'm about to watch the original Italian Job, non of that re-make tat! I've been playing a lot of music today so I thought I'd finish up with a current top ten tracks from my itunes library..

Night Night Yall :)

So I lied...

...to myself..it's now 2:21am and I just finished painting, however I'm pleased to report that I now know what I'm doing for my exhibition work. Turns out I've gone back to my roots and I'm doing tattooed characters. I've always felt that I never explored this side of my work fully so fingers crossed it turns out OK, or that I don't change my mind...again!! D'oh...here's a sneak peak of some work I've started...

Sleeeep...

Well I just woke up after an evening nap. I went to bed late yesterday and was working on some artwork right till the point when I fell asleep. This always gives me a horrible restless nights sleep so I was really tired all day. I've come to the conclusion that by not having say an hour of relaxation time before I sleep, my brain simply will not switch off and I spend all night in a semi conscious state. I kept going over ideas in my head even though I didn't want to, but my brain felt like it was on loop. I wonder how many people experience this?

Anyways, it's 9:05pm and I've set myself up for another late night now but I'm not going to work too late to try an avoid the same scenario. I plan on watching a film before bed but till then I'm desperately trying to get inspired to paint or to pin down a theme... one thing that has been decided is that my boards will all be painted with this really good flat olive green as a base. I found a big unopened tin in the shed that must of come from a DIY venture years back. I like a good paint find. It's a shame that's all I've decided.

One plus for the day is making plans to see the Miss Van art exhibition in London in October with my girlfriend. I decided today it would be worth a trip and to spend possibly a few nights down "sarf" If you don't know her work check it out here... :)

Howdy (Again)

OK, I never really took my blog seriously or at least posted frequently so I decided to give myself a new goal. That goal is simply to post at least one blog per day unless I'm either ill or have no computer access. So lets kick off with today...

I woke up...late! Spent the day painting my brothers Chihuahua "Hamish" I've decided to start doing pet portraits on the side whilst I wait to become famous, as I have simply no cash...not just a little but after I pay my debts this month...zero! I'm using Hamish as my muse and example to put on my advertisements.

After this I watched some classic episodes of Columbo and started thinking about my exhibition work. I had plans to paint tattooed pin-ups but I'm kind of bummed on the idea now. It's a horrible cliched thing to say but I really want to paint a subject or theme that means something to me. I guess I'll have to keep thinking. In the meantime I'm still busy with my music projects and the ongoing restoration of my 1972 Volkswagen Beetle. I'm sure I'll post pics of it as I continue to blog. I'll leave you with an awesome video I found a few nights back...
